Accommodations

Experience the state’s only timber glamping domes.

We acknowledge the Bunganditj/Boandik people, the Traditional Owners and First People of this Country where we live and work. We respect and acknowledge their Elders, past, present and emerging.

Mountain Path Meadows offers unique off-grid private geodesic dome glamping accommodations, group retreats and workshops, and a sustainable wedding ceremony venue, specialising in elopements and micro-weddings.

The property sits on 12 beautiful acres of fertile volcanic soil at the base of Mount Schank / Parreen on Bunganditj / Boandik land. It is part of the Mount Schank State Heritage Area and features an original basalt stone cottage estimated to have been built in 1866.

Halfway between Mount Gambier and Port MacDonnell (15 minutes to town or the beach!) on South Australia’s underrated Limestone Coast, Mountain Path Meadows is a secluded haven nestled amongst nature and home to kangaroos, wallabies, a range of beautiful birdlife, and countless other native flora and fauna.

A shot of our historic stone cottage at golden hour.

Historic Stone Cottage

Our historic stone cottage located at the bottom of Mount Schank, across from the scenic walk amenities, and is a popular conversation piece for locals and tourists alike. We’re in the process of renovating our historic cottage with the goal of offering it to guests for Airbnb and short term accomodations. (Yes, we’ve been told many times we should be featured on Restoration Australia!)

She needs a lot of love at the moment, but we’re chipping away bit by bit! Like our Facebook or follow us on Instagram to follow our renovation journey.

We are often told by locals about their connections to the cottage, and we are hoping to one day compile these stories in hopes of preserving the cottage’s history. If you have a connection or story to share, please send us an email at mountainpathmeadows@gmail.com. We would love to have a yarn with you.
